1. LiFePO4 vs Lead-Acid Batteries
LiFePO4 and lead-acid batteries use different chemistries and operating characteristics. For a suitable application, a LiFePO4 battery may provide lower weight, a different usable-capacity profile and longer cycle performance than a comparable lead-acid battery.
Actual performance depends on the selected battery model, depth of discharge, charge and discharge current, temperature, charging method and operating conditions. No fixed service life or performance improvement should be assumed for every project.

2. Is LiFePO4 a Direct Lead-Acid Replacement?
LiFePO4 batteries are sometimes described as drop-in replacements, but physical fit alone does not confirm electrical compatibility. A replacement battery must be evaluated together with the equipment, charger and load.
Before replacing a lead-acid battery, confirm:
- Original battery nominal voltage
- Required usable capacity and runtime
- Continuous and peak discharge current
- Charger voltage and charging profile
- Terminal type and polarity
- Battery compartment dimensions
